Mrs Koloutsou obtained an Honors Bachelors Degree (BSc Hon) in Speech Communication from University College London in 2000 and continued her studies at the Institute of Laryngology and Otology of University College London obtaining a Masters Degree (MSc) in Audiological Science in 2001.
Since 2001, Mrs Koloutsou has been working as a Senior Audiological Scientist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital in London. She has also worked at the Bristol Paediatric Hospital from 2005-2007.
Mrs Koloutsou has extensive experience in all aspects of clinical audiology, including advanced auditory and vestibular diagnostics, vestibular evoked myogenic potential assessment, advance assessment for the diagnosis and rehabilitation for obscured auditory dysfunction in adults, adult auditory rehabilitation using digital hearing aids, and paediatric audiology.
In 2007, Mrs Koloutsou started studying part-time for a PhD in Audiology at the Medical School of the National Kapodestrian University of Athens and expects to complete her doctoral studies within 2011-12. Following a successful taking of the Hearing Aid Council (HAC) examinations in early 2010, Mrs Koloutsou has qualified as a private Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD) and has been registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) as a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser (RHAD).
Mrs Koloutsou has also been registered with a British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA).
