DETAILS OF PRACTICE
I qualified in 2002 and am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Currently, I work with an agency specialising in counselling and support for drugs and alcohol addictions and domestic violence, offering its services to men and women from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I can offer counselling in English, Urdu and Hindi.
However, I work with a wide range of issues that include depression, anxiety, addictions, domestic and other abuse issues, loss and bereavement, relationship issues, sexuality, work-related stress and anger.
More specifically, in a confidential and safe environment, I aim to enable you to :
- face your fears
- be more aware of feelings and emotions
- increase your ability to express yourself
- explore and deal with feelings of anger
- come to terms with trauma, loss and bereavement
- learn from past experiences and mistakes and move on
- recognize how personal and cultural beliefs hinder your personal development
- recognize you have choices
- take responsibility for your own happiness.
As a Member of BACP, I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework and Code of Practice.
