CYMATHERAPY
What is Cymatherapy ?
Cymatherapy is a form of vibrational medicine that uses
sound and magnetic energy waves that resonate with the body to support
mental and physical health.
Where does it come from?
Sound and many other forms of therapeutic vibration have been used since
ancient times, many of which are still around today. The Buddhist and
Hindu traditions have used the chanting of mantras for spiritual purposes
and healing for thousands of years, while the ancient Greeks used music
as a form of therapy for healing the sick. Other forms of vibrational
medicine that have a long tradition include homeopathy, Bach flower remedies
and reiki. More recent and scientifically researched forms of vibrational
medicine emerged since the early work of Einstein who discovered that
everything in the physical universe consists of tiny vibrating energy
packets known as quanta. Based on this principle the body is not fundamentally
a solid atomic mass but a combination of vibrating quantum energy fields
that come together due to sharing harmonic (resonant) energy frequencies.
Since these findings emerged, many researchers and doctors have explored
and catalogued energy frequencies that resonate with the body and appear
to reduce symptoms of physical and mental illness. In addition to these
developments, subsequent research from Dr Hans Jenny (a Swiss doctor and
geologist) has indicated that acoustic sound at particular frequencies
can help restore structure and regulate the movement of many of the substances
found within the body. The culmination of these findings has lead to the
creation of the first cymatherapy instrument over thirty years ago. Since
this time, Cymatherapy has been subject to intense research development
and is now successfully practiced worldwide.
How does it work?
Cymatherapy works by using a computer (Cyma 1000) and a specially designed
ergonomic applicator that is applied directly upon the body. Various acoustic
sound and magnetic energy frequencies are applied during a treatment,
which have harmonic ‘bio-resonant’ relationships with the vibrational
frequencies that help to regulate structures and functions within the
body. Cymatherapy can potentially support cellular and organ structures,
as well as providing support to the more subtle energetic chakra and meridian
systems that help govern our mental and spiritual health.
What conditions does it treat?
Most conditions will be considered for treatment, although common conditions
include muscle injuries, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, strokes,
asthma, sciatica, fibromyalgia, tinnitus and back problems.
Cymatherapy has also been successfully used for pain management, addictions
and stress reduction due to its ability to calm sensory nerves and restore
balance to the more subtle energetic meridian and chakra systems.
Cymatherapy is not appropriate for those who are pregnant or have implanted
electrical devices such as pacemakers.
What are the key benefits?
Cymatherapy is a subtle, relaxing and penetrating form of therapy and
therefore can be used to treat injury or illness when more intensive physical
approaches would be unsuitable. Due to its subtlety there is also little
or no risk of side effects. Cymatherapy can also be easily and effectively
combined with other forms of therapy during a treatment.
What to expect during a treatment
Upon receiving a comprehensive health assessment, a series of relevant
frequencies will be applied to various parts of the body using the Cymatherapy
applicator. You may feel a gentle and soothing vibration and warmth while
the treatment is being applied. This treatment can often evoke a deep
sense of relaxation and tension reduction. Treatment time can last between
45 minutes to an hour depending upon your needs.
