Details of PracticeMichelle is the founder of The Mind's Eye London; a clinical Hypnotherapist specialising in Hypnobirthing.
I became a hypnotherapist to help people on a deeper level; covering a range of different treatments including: stress, anger, IBS and pain. I myself have had hypnotherapy for a number of issues and was so amazed at how much it has changed my life. Having trained at the prestigious London School of Clinical Hypnotherapy (LCCH); I specialise in Fertility Hypnosis, Vaginismus, Hypertension control and Hypnobirthing. I was trained in the Katharine Graves Hypnobirthing School (KGH), in which I am qualified to teach other students wanting to become a KGH Hypnobirther. I am also a Reiki practitioner and a Swedish massage therapist.
We all go in and out of hypnosis daily without even realising it; whilst driving, just before we fall asleep or just before we wake up. Hypnosis is completely safe and you will remain in complete control at all times; still being able to speak, hear and move as normal. Hypnosis is a state of complete relaxation of mind and body. It is only when you are relaxed that you are able to receive positive direct suggestions, which help change your old negative behaviours into new positive changes.
Between 3 and 4 sessions are recommended. However, the number of sessions required is dependent on the individual.
Katharine Graves (KG) Hypnobirthing
KG Hypnobirthing is a neutral method of pain relief utilised before, during and after labour. It is a complete birth educational programme which teaches simple but effective self-hypnosis, relaxation and breathing techniques to help and prepare you for a better, natural and a calmer birth. This is a 10 hour course, set over flexible sessions to suit you and your partner, offering you both a choice to have hypnotherapy (complementary), which can really be beneficial to induce relaxation and to overcome any stresses you may encounter.
The therapist uses techniques designed to relax the muscles in your body by applying pressure to them with the use of oils or creams. This increases oxygen flow in the blood which releases toxins from your muscles.
Benefits of a Swedish massage include: • Relaxation • Removing toxins • Feeling more refreshed and energised • Shortening recovery time • Reducing stress, emotional and physical • Reducing high blood pressure.
The 5 techniques used in a Swedish massage session are Effleurage, Tapotement, Vibration, Friction and Petrissage .
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing and wellbeing. Reiki is non-invasive and is not dependent on one's spiritual or religious values and therefore is available to everyone. Hands are lightly placed on or over a patient's body to facilitate the process of healing. Reiki can reduce pain, inflammation, anxiety and helps to reduce symptoms of depression.
