Details of PracticeCaroline Hamblin has been in private practice as a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist since 2005 initially training in Freudian Psychoanalysis. Today’s practice reflects 21st century living and promotes evidence based, ethical practice, helping the client achieve measured, quantifiable goals within a relatively short space of time.
In addition to the Harley Street Therapy Centre, current clinic hours include working from a busy GP practice, typically treating Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders, Emetophobia (a fear of sick) Addictions, Self Harming, Stress and Depression as well as treating children and teenagers with wide ranging symptoms.
Central to her work is an attention to Psychoneuroimmunology ( the interaction between cognitive processes, the nervous system and the immune system) and results in regularly treating clients with long term debilitating illnesses such as Fybromyalgia or ME/CFS as well as those recovering from injury or illness.
Caroline’s work includes the field of positive psychology (including the Thrive Programme) where the focus is on personal growth rather than on pathology, better able to reach a wider audience and anyone wishing to improve their quality of life, regardless of age or situation. In a non therapeutic setting, she has worked with sportsmen, small businesses aiming to improve both harmony and productivity, as well as with the staff and children within schools.
Sessions can be delivered in such a way that you could be expecting real change within 6 sessions. For example, The Thrive Programme is a coaching model centred on personal growth, continuous learning and development, fully backed up by scientific research.
For those wishing to take a therapeutic direction, Caroline’s background in psychodynamic therapy, helps the client more quickly understand and resolve their problems, by increasing awareness of their inner world and its influence over relationships both past and present.
Caroline is an advanced and accredited member of the International Association of Evidence Based Psychotherapy adhering to a strict Code of Ethics. She is a fully licensed consultant for Rob Kelly’s Thrive Programme.
