Details of PracticeI offer therapy as a safe space in which you can freely express and explore, in complete confidentiality, whatever is causing you distress, confusion or calling for your attention.
My expertise lies in helping you identify what needs to change in your life to bring about a resolution to your difficulties and in providing non-judgmental, empathic support and encouragement so that you can implement those changes.
I hold a UKCP and BACP accredited Post-graduate Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy and am also a clinical supervisor, providing supervision within the NHS and supervising the work of individual therapists and counsellors in private practice.
I see individual clients and couples in Harley Street and also work from Kings Cross, Euston and Little Venice.
HOW I WORK
My approach is integrative, which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, humanistic and person-centred, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), existential and Jungian. My psychotherapy practice is also informed by 25 years’ experience working holistically as a senior meditation teacher and facilitator of mindfulness trainings, a yoga teacher-trainer and a qualified, experienced energy medicine practitioner: I encourage my psychotherapy and counseling clients to attend to the whole of who they are (mind, body and spirit).
Ultimately, how we work together is part of the unfolding process of our therapeutic relationship and my foremost consideration is to adapt my approach to best serve you in gaining greater insight and finding a resolution to the issues that you bring to therapy.
I offer: Short term, solution-focused counselling to help you manage current difficulties in healthier, more effective ways.
Long term, open-ended psychotherapy to support deep inner change and deals with more complex or deep-rooted issues.
Issues I work with on a daily basis in my psychotherapy and counselling practice include:
Codependency, fear of intimacy
Bereavement and Loss
Self-esteem and self-confidence
Abuse and Trauma
Identity and Gender Issues
Life stages and transitions
Spirituality, meaning and life path
An initial session gives us the opportunity to see how we get along and explore together whether I might be the right sort of therapist for your needs. There is no commitment at this stage and you can go away and think about it or we can mutually agree to start working together and schedule our first few sessions.
My fee for an initial consultation is £70 and as a guideline, fees for ongoing therapy are £70 -85 depending on your appointment time.
